Humberto Flores, a vanguard scholar and photographer, is a first-generation Chicano hailing from the Inland Empire, California, and epitomizes an intersectional narrative shaped by both adversity and intellectual vigor. His compelling journey, etched with poignant encounters with law enforcement, catalyzes a passionate pursuit of knowledge and scholarly distinction. Presently, Humberto is pursuing a doctoral degree in Sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Within the rigorous academic environs, he is not merely a student but a proactive agent of change, channeling his academic curiosity and resilience into a comprehensive examination of societal structures through the medium of photography. Humberto's work has been featured in notable museums such as the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture and more.
